2007 Audi A8 Review
Audi’s largest and most-expensive A8 receives a powerful V8 engine, while adding a performance model for 2007. Audi A8 2007 comes in standard wheelbase, extended wheel base A8L, and long-wheelbase W12 cab styles.
Upgrades for 2007
Audi introduces an optional Bang & Olufsen audio system for A8 W12 and the audio system has been updated with the inclusion of MP3 capability for the CD player and standard satellite radio.
Other upgrades include optional 20-in wheel design, iPod integration capability as well as standard rearview camera.
Engine Specs
The standard A8 and A8 L versions come with a 4.2-L direct fuel injection V8 engine that delivers 350 hp and torsion of about 325 lb-ft.

Audi’s A8 W12 model, named after the special 6.0-L 12-cylinder engine, produces 450 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque.
Both engines are paired to a 6-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox that drives all four wheels through Audi’s Quattro AWD system.
In performance testing, the 4.2 V8 version of A8 Audi went from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.3 seconds, while W12 hit 0-60 mph in less than 6 seconds.
Safety Features
The standard safety features of Audi A8 2007 include stability control, antilock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution system, full-length side curtain airbags, rear and front-mounted side airbags, tire pressure monitoring unit as well as active front headrests.
